FRANCESCO PIZZI’S SEASON ENDS WITH A GOOD PERFORMANCE: GRIT AND DETERMINATION PROTAGONISTS IN MONZA

The last weekend of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine was held last October 31, at one of the most fascinating circuits of motorsport, Monza, which has been hosting the Italian Grand Prix since the first edition of the Formula 1 Championship, that is since 1950.
After two days of testing, the first qualification was held, in which Pizzi reached the 17th place and in race 1 with determination he managed to reach the 12th position.
Sunday’s qualifying 2 was not positive, also because of the wet asphalt that rewarded the last to cross the finish line at the end of the time allowed for the qualification, so the young Roman driver of the Van Amersfoort team, reaching only the 25th place.
After a tough qualifying session comes the redemption: Pizzi in race 2 has started a great comeback that led him to reach the 16th position.
The bad weather has caused some difficulties on the track seeing the start behind the safety-car and also a red flag and, after a second intervention of the safety-car ended with the cars lined up with the race direction car, with an incredible challenge and with a competitive Pizzi.
In short, the weekend was characterized by tenacity and concentration.
No rest for Francesco Pizzi that immediately after the race days was already on track for testing in anticipation of 2022 with R-Ace.
